Edges of care

This work is rooted in presence, not performance. I’m here to hold you—to witness, support, and honour your rhythms as you move through this tender threshold.

🌿 Outings and Childcare
I’ll gladly support you in getting out of the house for the first time—whether that’s a slow walk, a moment in the garden, or just sitting on the steps together with tea. But I don’t take older children out or do school pickups. I’m here for you, not in place of a caregiver.

🌿 Household Support
I can prepare light meals, tidy common spaces, and tend to simple things that help the day feel smoother.
But I don’t offer full cleaning or deep household labour. My care is about restoring energy—not exhausting mine or yours.

🌿 Spiritual and Cultural Support
If there are rituals, traditions, or ancestral practices you’d like to bring into your birth or postpartum space, I welcome that with open hands.
I’ll follow your lead, honour your lineage, and hold space with reverence.

🌿 Communication & Presence
I believe in slow, intentional communication. I may not always reply instantly—but I will respond with care.
During our time together, you’ll have a clear sense of how and when to reach me, and what kinds of support I can offer in different moments.
I ask for the same presence in return—mutual respect for time, space, and energy.

🌿 Shared Responsibility
This is your journey. I’m not here to lead it, but to walk beside you.
I’ll offer guidance, reflections, and steady presence—but I don’t replace your voice or your intuition.
If something feels unclear or not quite right, I welcome the conversation. Consent, collaboration, and clarity matter deeply here.

🌿 If We’re Not the Right Fit
Not every match is meant to be.
If it turns out I’m not the doula for you, I hope you still leave with a sense of being seen, respected, and encouraged.
I’ll always honour your path—and if I can, I’ll help you find someone who feels right.
