Terms of Business
With Paris — Client Service Agreement
Effective date: [18/07/2026]
These Terms of Business form the contract between you (“you,” “the Client”) and With Paris (“we,” “us,” “our”) when you book doula support, hypnobirthing teaching, pregnancy/postnatal yoga, somatic facilitation, or reiki services. They apply alongside our Privacy Notice, and sit separately from the general Terms of Use that govern browsing our website.
1. Who we are
[Paris [Gosling-Browne] trading as With Paris], of [Leicester]. Contact: [withparis.x@gmail.com]. We operate as a sole trader.
2. Our role
We provide non-clinical, trauma-informed emotional, informational, and physical support. We are not midwives, doctors, or other registered clinical professionals, and we do not perform clinical tasks, give medical advice, or make decisions on your behalf. You remain responsible for your own medical decisions in partnership with your maternity or healthcare team.
3. Booking and confirmation
• A booking is confirmed once you have completed our intake process (via Acuity Scheduling or direct enquiry), agreed a package, and paid any required deposit.
• We will confirm your booking, package, and fees in writing (by email) once agreed.
4. Fees and payment
Our current package fees (exchange) are as follows, and will be confirmed in writing at the time of booking:
• The Ultimate package (pregnancy, birth, and postpartum support with 24/7 on-call from 38 weeks, plus closing of the bones ceremony) – £2,555
• Birth package – Power Meets Presence (pregnancy support, labour and birth doula support, 24/7 on-call from 38 weeks, postpartum care) – £1,666
• Pregnancy package – Rooted in Knowing (8 hours of personalised prenatal support) – £484
• Postpartum package – Matrescence (10 hours of personalised postpartum support) – £606
• Still a Sacred Path (loss, termination, or birth that didn't go as planned) – £60 per hour
• Online doula support – £40 per hour
• A non-refundable deposit (see below) secures your booking date/availability and is deducted from the total package fee.
• The remaining balance is due before our first session, as set out in your booking confirmation.
• If payment is not received by the agreed date, we reserve the right to release your booking date.
Deposit
• A non-refundable deposit of 40% of the total package fee (or a fixed amount, e.g. £150–£250, for hourly Still a Sacred Path and Online support bookings) is required to secure your booking date and reserve my availability around your due date.
• The deposit is deducted from your total package fee and is non-refundable in all circumstances, as it reflects time and availability set aside for you from the point of booking, including turning away other clients due around the same time.
Payment schedule
• For pregnancy, birth, and Ultimate packages: the deposit is due at booking, with the remaining balance payable in instalments (monthly, or as agreed) and cleared in full by 36 weeks of pregnancy — ahead of the 38-week on-call start — so that payment is never outstanding once I am on call for your birth.
• For postpartum-only, Still a Sacred Path, and Online support bookings: the deposit is due at booking, with the balance due before, or at the start of, the first session, unless we agree an instalment plan in writing.
• All fees are payable via the methods confirmed at booking (e.g. bank transfer).
• If payment is not received by the agreed date, I reserve the right to release your booking date to another client, following reasonable notice to you.
5. Cancellations and changes
By you
• If you cancel before 38 weeks of pregnancy (before on-call support begins), any fees paid beyond the non-refundable deposit will be refunded.
• If you cancel at or after 38 weeks of pregnancy, or once labour or induction has begun, fees paid are non-refundable, as this time has been reserved exclusively for your care.
• For non-birth packages (postpartum-only, Still a Sacred Path, Online support), sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are non-refundable; earlier cancellations are refunded minus the deposit.
• Genuinely unforeseeable circumstances (e.g. bereavement, sudden illness) will be considered case-by-case — please get in touch as soon as you can.
By us
In the rare event we are unable to attend your birth or session (for example, due to illness, a clash with another client's labour, or an emergency), we will do our best to arrange a qualified backup doula or teacher known to us, or offer an alternative session date. Where no suitable alternative can be arranged, we will refund fees for the service not delivered.
6. On-call period and birth support (doula clients)
• For birth doula packages, your on-call period will be agreed in advance (typically from a set number of weeks before your due date until birth).
• We aim to be reachable and to attend within a reasonable time of being called, but cannot guarantee an exact arrival time, particularly in fast or unpredictable labours; travel time, traffic, and distance will be discussed with you in advance.
• If your labour progresses very quickly or we are already supporting another client giving birth at the same time, our backup arrangement (see clause 5) will apply.
7. Confidentiality
Anything you share with us — including health, birth, and personal information — is kept confidential in line with our Privacy Notice, and only shared with your consent or where necessary for your safety or as required by law.
8. Your responsibilities
• Provide accurate and timely information relevant to your care.
• Keep your own healthcare providers informed and involved in medical decisions.
• Let us know promptly of any changes to your circumstances, due date, or contact details.
9. Your right to cancel (cooling-off period)
If you booked our services online or by phone without meeting in person first, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to begin providing support within that 14-day period, you acknowledge that you may lose the right to a full refund for services already provided once you have expressly requested we start, and agree we may begin work sooner at your request.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us directly at [withparis.x@gmail.com] so we can try to resolve things informally first.
11. Liability and insurance
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in question, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
12. Data protection
We handle your personal and health information in line with our Privacy Notice. Special category data (health, pregnancy, and birth information) is only used with your explicit consent and only as necessary to provide safe, informed support.
13. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform obligations caused by events beyond reasonable control, including illness, medical emergency, extreme weather, or other circumstances that make attendance genuinely impossible. Clause 5 (backup arrangements) governs birth support specifically.
14. Termination
Either party may end the working relationship at any time by giving written notice. Fees for services already provided remain payable; refunds for services not yet provided will follow the cancellation terms in clause 5.
15. Governing law
These Terms of Business are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Business from time to time. Where you have an existing confirmed booking, we will let you know of any material changes that affect you directly.
